Membership Info
Your $12 annual dues help to support the activities listed above, which promote a sense of neighborhood spirit and community. Plus, you'll receive the following additional benefits:
- A monthly newsletter, the Elvehjem Echo
- Resource information or trouble shooting for needed services and improvements to the neighborhood.
Volunteer Opportunities
Throughout the year, there are various activities for which help is needed:
- Volunteer to be a Block Captain for your block
- Assist with collecting membership dues during annual membership drive
- Deliver ENA Neighborhood directories to new members
- Welcome new neighbors on your block and let them know about ENA
- Join other block captains for a yearly party, hosted by the ENA board to show their appreciation!

- Join the ENA Board of Directors
- Attend monthly board meetings - 1st Wednesday of each month
- Assist with planning and organization of neighborhood activities
- Address issues/problems concerning the neighborhood
- Serve as an ambassador and advocate for the neighborhood association in the larger community
- Term is 3 years

- New members are nominated through a very informal process at the Annual Neighborhood Meeting, held in March.
- Annual Park Cleanup
- Help beautify the neighborhood by keeping the parks clean
- Every hour of work contributes toward a fund from the City of Madison to go toward neighborhood improvement
- Last year's park cleanup helped raise money for the neighborhood signs!
- Watch the Echo for details about the next Park Cleanup
- Attend ENA Board of Directors' meetings
- Neighborhood members are welcome to attend meetings
- Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of each month
- Location varies among board members' houses... see Echo Newsletter or Calendar of Events (above) for details
- Be sure to contact the meeting host if you plan to attend, so they can plan for space for everyone
- Come to the Annual Neighborhood Meeting
- Hear about neighborhood accomplishments of the past year, and plans for the upcoming year
- Listen to speakers from various organizations throughout the city/county
- Elect new Board Memebers
- Held in March each year

- Help out a neighbor
- Lawn Mowing
- Snow shoveling
- Any other task that someone may need assistance with
